Frida Roneus is Head of Digital Strategy and Innovation and Fintech Lead with SMBC’s Strategy & Transformation Department. Frida joined the firm in January 2021 where she is responsible for the digital strategy agenda, transformation, opportunity shaping, and incubation to deliver innovative products and capabilities within the organization.

Frida partners with technology companies on ideation, collaboration, strategic investments, and acquisitions.

Prior to SMBC, Frida was with Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy practice, specializing in business and technology strategy, innovation, fintech partnership expansion, and leading strategic transformations for banks and buy-side firms globally.

Frida is an accomplished leader in the banking and payments industry. She has successfully advised C-suite executives with a focus on strategic business development to drive revenue growth, enable new capabilities, product development, technology-enabled business models, and extend value across the customer journey. Throughout her career, Frida has developed a deep understanding of the banking lifecycle, fintech and digital banking evolution, global market regulations, and technology-enabled business development.

Frida has a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management (Computer Science and Engineering, Finance, and Strategy) from Linkoping University in Sweden.
